Protecting your personal data is important to us. Below we explain, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which data we process within the Momenty app and this website.

1. Controller

2. Data you create

Momenty is an app for recording and sharing short daily video clips. In doing so we process:

• Account & profile data: your username or display name and a unique user ID.
• Video clips & daily vlogs: the clips you record, including the burned-in timestamp and any optional caption/emoji.
• Log data (groups): the "Logs" you join or create, the associated PIN, and your membership.

The legal basis is the performance of the user agreement (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Content you share within a Log is visible to the other members of that Log.

3. Camera & microphone

To record clips, Momenty needs access to your device's camera and microphone. Access only happens after your explicit permission and only while you are recording. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

4. Sign in with Apple

We use "Sign in with Apple" for registration. You can choose whether to share your email address or use Apple's anonymous relay address. Apple's privacy terms apply in addition. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

5. Processors / hosting

We use the following service providers to deliver the service:

• Supabase — backend, database, and storage of clips. Processing takes place on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Server location: EU (Frankfurt).
• Apple — app distribution and authentication.

6. Server log files of this website

When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data (IP address, date/time, page requested, browser type). This serves the technical provision and security of the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). This website is hosted by Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd.), which processes this data on our behalf.

7. Retention period

We store your data for as long as your account exists or as long as it is necessary to provide the service. After you delete your account, your personal data and clips are deleted, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have, in particular, the following rights:

• access to the data stored about you (Art. 15)
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
• erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18)
• data portability (Art. 20)
• objection to processing (Art. 21)
• lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77)

To exercise your rights, an email to the address above is sufficient.

9. Account & data deletion

You can have your account and all associated data deleted by sending an email to trymomentyapp@gmail.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy when the legal situation or our processing changes. The version published on this page at any given time applies.
